Shirodhara works with the Third Eye and Heart Chakra’s as warm, herbal infused oils cascade over your forehead and crown, cleansing the mind and inducing a lucid, meditative state. This is a dry massage treatment that works with the layers of tissue and fluid that lies between your skin and muscle. It begins with dry brushing the skin, then activating the lymph nodes, and then moving the lymph fluid to the nodes with graceful effleurage. It is very calming for the nervous system and helps reduce anxiety. It is a gentle, nurturing treatment, that boosts immunity by cleaning toxins from the body through moveing the lymph fluid- helping your resistance to viruses and accelerating wound healing. By flushing the fluid, bloating and puffiness is reduced. Excellent for post surgery, post natal, or those suffering from having to sit all day.
